A spooky NFL Rivals event gives players the chance to take on challenges and compete to “rewrite history” with the first-ever NFL legend, former MVP and running back Adrian Peterson, in a series of monster-sized performances.
Mythical GAMES has proudly announced the launch of Monster Smash 2, an interactive Halloween campaign, within its Web3 game NFL Rivals. This special campaign is supported by Adrian Peterson, one of the most iconic American football players of all time.
The event agenda focuses on current NFL players who have had impressive October performances in the past, with Peterson being a notable exception. Players will be bundled into packs, there will be currency events throughout the week, “Main Events” in the weekend, a Power Pass, and a program store with the usual mix of Legendary, Epic, and Rare players.
Additionally, Peterson's Editions will be prominently featured throughout the game – as a “free” giveaway, as a Battle Pass reward, and as two of the highest rewards in the program – the Legendary and Mythic Player Editions.
The Halloween program, consisting of 40 milestones, will last for four weeks. Rewards along the battle pass include coins, gems, training resources, player cards, and PFPs, with an exclusive epic reward at the end of the paid path: Adrian Peterson himself.
The campaign kicked off on Thursday, October 17 at 08:00 a.m. PT and will run until Thursday, November 14 at 08:00 a.m. PT. Players who save up can earn exclusive rewards as they complete the various challenges.
The Monster Smash 2 campaign gives players the chance to participate in events and challenges, earning “candy” – the game’s in-game currency. With this “candy,” players can unlock special Halloween players, who have performed monstrous feats in October in the past, as well as some unique cards from Adrian Peterson.
As with previous campaigns, NFL players will be part of the core roster in the packs, with additional “chase” players appearing in events, but with a few surprising changes. The packs will include eight Legendaries, eight Epics, and up to ten Rare players, plus seven “chase” players appearing in weekend events and the promo store.
To clarify, the seven “chase” players are not found in the packs. Four of these players are released as weekend event rewards, while three are available in the promo store for users to spend their “candy” on – with rare, epic, and legendary choices. This gives players the chance to unlock some of the best players in the game and further advance their challenges.
