The former Chief Executive Officer Knab's Nadine Klokke has been appointed as the new Global Head of Business Banking at ING. This marks a return to the company where she worked between 2002 and 2018.
Klokke started her career at ING almost thirty years ago. In the sixteen years that she worked there, she held various management positions. Her role in 2018 as director of Business Loans for ING in the Netherlands and Belgium is an example of this. From 2019 to 2025, she was also the leading force behind the self-employed bank Knab.
“I am honored to be able to use my experience on a global platform at a sofa with excellent digital capabilities and a strong brand,” says Klokke. “It is a privilege to support entrepreneurs worldwide in their passion – building their business. As a member of the ING team, I feel humbled and excited to contribute to their mission.”
In her new role, Klokke will report directly to Pinar Abay, ING's Global Head of Retail, Market Leaders and Challengers & Growth Markets.
“I am delighted to welcome Nadine back to ING,” said Abay. “With her strong growth mindset, entrepreneurial spirit and sharp focus on customer experience, Nadine is a great addition to our Retail Banking leadership team. She will help us to realise our ‘Be First Retail Banking’ strategy, drive growth and successfully launch our Business Banking offering in new markets.”
