Between June 27 and July 29, 2025, Europ Assistance Belgium received more than 87.000 calls, an average of over 2.700 calls per day. In addition to phone calls, the organization also received more than 4.300 requests through its mobile app.
The calls focused on the full range of services offered by Europ Assistance, such as roadside assistance at home and abroad, medical assistance, cancellation insurance and housing assistance.
The number of technical interventions abroad has increased by 18%. Most calls came from France (38%), followed by the Netherlands (20%), Spain (10%), Germany (7%), Luxembourg (6%), and Italy (6%). Within Belgium, the number of technical interventions increased by 3%.
The most common technical problems were related to the engine, battery and starting of the (70%). Inattention led to technical problems such as leaving keys in the car, battery problems, incorrect fuel, or flat tires (19%). Accidents accounted for 9% of technical interventions.
The number of medical interventions abroad rose by 16% to 1.396 cases. These medical issues primarily concerned injuries, fractures, and wounds (41%), infections (14%), gastrointestinal problems (13%), heart and lung problems (5%), and neurological disorders (4%). Many of the medical problems were related to weather conditions.
