A team of alumni from Coinbase has raised $11 million to launch True Markets, a stablecoin-focused DeFi app that offers real-time execution and self-custody on the Solana network.
True Markets is a promising new player in the DeFi space, founded by former Coinbase executives Vishal Gupta and Patrick McCreary. With the recent $11 million raised, their total funding comes to an impressive $20 million. The goal? To bring a stable, mobile DeFi app to iPhones that focuses on the speed and security of Solana for crypto trading. A smart move, given the growing demand for user-friendly financial technologies.
With a background in the top echelons of Coinbase, where Gupta served as head of the exchange and McCreary as senior engineering leader, the duo brings extensive knowledge and experience to the table. At launch, the app supports top Solana-native assets, with ambitions to open up new opportunities in centralized financial markets over time.

Retail traders often face cumbersome workflows, unclear pricing, and fragmented liquidity. True Markets aims to solve these problems by providing a simplified, user-friendly interface that takes the trading experience to the next level.
Platform features include real-time market parking lines, hosted wallets powered by Turnkey, and smart order routing powered by Definitive. With the newly raised funding, True Markets plans to integrate TrueX, its own institutional-grade central exchange, which will bring deeper liquidity to the mobile experience.
